Game 8: Wyoming, BYU Prediction (BYE, BYE BYU)

For the second week in  a row the Cowboys will take on a team that will no longer be in the Mountain West after this year.  This week the Pokes go on the road to Provo to take on the Cougars, who will become Independent next season.  There is nothing more many Pokes fan’s would like to see than Wyoming handing the Cougars one final loss as a MWC team.  The Cougars have been down this year compared to recent years and I believe that Wyoming will pull this one out getting closer to the six wins needed to become bowl eligible.  That doesn’t mean it will be a walk in the park for the Pokes today as it’s always tough to play in Provo.  Both the Cowboys and Cougars head into today’s game with records of 2-5.  Wyoming is 0-3 in conference play while the BYU is 1-2.  BYU’s one confernce win was against San Diego State at home. The last time the Pokes won a game in Provo was in 1987.  I think that changes today.  With BYU only averaging 14.7 points scored offensively, the Pokes will be able to shut them down and get enough points to pull off a win.  Hey BYU, hope being independent is everything you thought it would be.
